During our final subscription concert of the 2018-2019 Season, Handel Choir offers diverse meditations on the immortal. A life and death battle ensue in J.S. Bach’s Easter cantata. In its Maryland premiere, Sir John Tavener’s posthumous masterwork Requiem Fragments offers a luminous vision of the afterlife. A pre-concert lecture by Composer Tawnie Olson highlights the Baltimore premiere of her work, Incantation, featured during this concert.
