Saturday Morning Tunes Movie Soundtrack Show!
The 2018-2019 Saturday Morning Tunes season kicks off Sept. 15 with the soundtracks to “Moana” and “Frozen” performed live at the Baltimore School for the Arts!
Sept. 15: “Moana” and “Frozen” soundtracks show
presented by Live Baltimore
How many times have you listened to these songs in the car or watched these movies at home? We’ve asked two of Baltimore’s best bands, Outcalls and Black Root Underground (Jamaal from Baby Beats and his band) to learn the songs from “Frozen” and “Moana,” and play them from start to finish in the Baltimore School for the Arts’ gorgeous, historic Schaefer ballroom!
This show is a partnership between WTMD and the BSA, and we’re thrilled to have students from the BSA’s music program joining Outcalls and Black Root Underground on stage. Everyone is encouraged to dress like their favorite character from these films.
For the first time ever, we’re doing two shows in one morning: at 9:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. This is our first concert at the BSA’s ballroom, which has tiered seating. (It’s not fixed seating — the chairs can be re-positioned to accommodate your family.)
We’ll also have a photo booth, coffee from Garrison Forest School, and our usual assortment of delicious organic snacks.
Here’s the schedule for both shows:
9 a.m. doors open
9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Soundtrack show #1
11:15 a.m. doors open for second show
11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Soundtrack show #2
Reserve your spot now by making a donation to support children’s programming on WTMD! We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit public radio station. Donations are non-refundable.
Note: Family Four-Packs can be any combination of adults and kids. Also, children under 2 are free, but please reserve a $0 spot for them so we can make sure to leave room for them at the show!
